Hey folks. Just stopping by for a minute to give my take on what’s going on in the entertainment world and beyond. And remember, it’s MY take. Everybody has an opinion.

Wow! Can you believe we are almost at the end of 2007 already? Time moves much too fast. On a personal note, the last three years of my life have not been nice, but the last few months have been wonderful. I am ending the year on the good foot! I hope you are too. I look forward to 2008 and all the goodness it holds for me and you. So here’s to you espot readers!
Now – on with the news!

Last week President Bush pardoned 28 convicts but didn’t pardon Ronald Isley. That is f***** up! If anyone deserves to be pardoned it is Ronald Isley because his crime was not a violent one. Now I am really pissed off!
While walking the red carpet for the premiere of her latest film The Perfect Holiday in Chicago, a Chicago Sun-Times reporter asked Queen Latifah about the rumor of her impending wedding to her “girlfriend”. Wait a minute – hold up – I think that was tasteless and rude to ask her about that while she’s walking the red carpet! Anyhow, Queen said “….The only major announcement I have to make is Merry Christmas. There ain’t gonna be no wedding.” So, we have the truth – for now.
Yes! Yes! Yes! My girl Madonna will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! That’s what’s up! The ceremony takes place on March 10, 2008 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. Of course, there are naysayer’s but I say she DEFINITELY deserves it. There is only ONE Madonna. Someone get me a ticket!
Here is a surprise – rocker Chris Daughtry has the top-selling album of 2007. According to Billboard he sold 3.2 million copies of his debut. He outsold everyone! He may not have won American Idol but he sho’ is doing good. Rock on Chris!
Jaheim’s latest CD, THE MAKINGS OF A MAN, dropped December 18 and you KNOW I picked it up that same day. I love the cover with Jaheim in a white coat and black hat; handsome. He is now being referred to as the voice of R&B which I wholeheartedly agree with. The fist cut on the CD is called “Voice of R&B” followed by a song written, produced and arranged by R. Kelly called “Hush”. I like both songs; oh wait…..I like the entire CD! LOL!! The song “Back Together Again” could make you cry! It’s about his mother and father who both passed away; take a listen. The fact that Jaheim sampled three of my all-time favorite songs just blows my mind! On “Lonely” he re-did Bobby Womack’s “If You Think You’re Lonely Now” adding new lyrics. “Life of A Thug” samples “Hope That We Can Be Together Soon” by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes. And The Delfonics’ “LaLa Means I Love You” was sampled in “She Ain’t You”. Jaheim’s song choices prove he IS the Voice of R&B. I love you Jaheim!
Keyshia Cole’s latest “Just Like You” continues to amaze me. The more I listen, the more I love it. Each song has something special. Keyshia’s vocals are amazing on all the songs and the orchestration is really a step up from what is the norm in today’s music industry. Thanks Keyshia for some good ass music!
Not sure if any of us care but Pamela Anderson is getting divorced from her third husband Rick Solomon. They were married for two months. I knew that shit would not last. Note to Pam: girl, stay single for a while. Focus on your two handsome sons and chill.
Just when I recently read that teenage pregnancy was down in America, it’s been announced that Britney Spears’ LITTLE sister Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant! And the idiot is 16 years old. Yes, I called her an idiot. Why the hell would you want to have a baby at 16 and running a successful career?! Man oh man! These two sisters are disasters! And guess where she met her baby’s daddy? In church! Obviously, they weren’t listening.

Well ya’ll this is my last entry until after Christmas. I am going up in the mountains of Pennsylvania and freeze my ass off for the holidays. But when I return I will have opinions about everything entertainment and beyond. That’s if I don’t get buried in an avalanche!

Ron Isley don’t need to be pardoned, he was stealing from his dead brother’s estate. What happened to “Am I my brother’s keeper?”
I enjoy reading your columns. Would someone out there give her a job doing this all the time already. She’s got the talent that is missing from some of our writers out there.
They need to leave Queen Latifah alone. Her private life is just that… PRIVATE. I don’t remember her actually coming out and saying that she was gay so leave it alone. She’s fabulous either way and we love her.
The year did go by fast. Faster than you can imagine. I too had a rough year but I look forward to nothing but blessings. Keeping nothing but positive outlooks for me and my family. Hope to be blessed with nothing but health and happiness. I pray for everyone’s health and happiness.
Brittney’s sister is a fool. What more is there to say.
Girl… There is no way you were going to get burried in the snow in PA. We may get a lot but they do know how to clean the streets out there. All in all it’s just a beautiful sight to be able to see nothing but WHITE snow out there on the trees.
