Lizz Wright’s The Orchard sounds like a breath of fresh air. I feel like I’m the last one getting tuned in to such a beautiful and distinctive voice. This is her third album, but the first one I’ve heard.
“Coming Home” draws you in immediately and sets the tone of the CD. Her voice is a mixture of different genres of music, so I’ll just say she’s a soulful singer. When I listened to this CD, I imagined myself at a nice club on a date listening to a live band with a powerful vocalist taking the lead.
