Justice League The New Frontier

February 24, 2008

Justice League / The New Frontier

For an adult, watching the DVD it was nostalgic. I grew up watching these superheros every Saturday morning. The movie is great to watch with your kids and opens up the door for a fun conversation.  “I like the movie. It had a lot of action,” says 9 year old John.  When asked if he would watch it again, he responded, “Yes.”  (In fact, he watched it again that same afternoon).

Justice League The New Frontier is entertaining and fun to watch no matter what age. ~ Shelia M Goss, entertainment writer and author of Double Platinum.

More about Justice League/The New Frontier: Inspired by the best-selling graphic novel by Darwyn Cooke and produced by the multiple Emmy® award winning animation legend, Bruce Timm, The New Frontier is the epic tale of the founding of the Justice League. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are all here of course, and so are Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and Flash – whose incredible origins will be told for the very first time. Strangers at first, these very different heroes must overcome fear and suspicion to forge an alliance against a monster so formidable, even the mighty Superman can not stop it. If they fail, our entire planet will be “cleansed” of humanity.

Warner Premiere, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation are set to release the all-new original movie Justice League: The New Frontier on February 26, 2008 on DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray Disc, distributed by Warner Home Video.

We really did not care for it. Although it was stylish and well animated, but the graphic novel based storyline did not make for a solid feature plot.

Here is our take on it with lots of pics and a few bits if wit if you are interested:
